LIQUID CASTILE SOAP

Liquid Castile soap is a versatile, plant-based cleanser that traces its origins back to the Castile region of Spain, where it was traditionally made using pure olive oil. In its modern form, liquid Castile soap is a concentrated, biodegradable, and non-toxic soap composed of vegetable oils such as olive oil, coconut oil, hemp oil, jojoba oil, and sometimes sunflower or palm oil (sustainably sourced when ethical). Unlike commercial soaps that may contain synthetic detergents, artificial fragrances, and harsh preservatives, true liquid Castile soap is made through a process called saponification, where natural oils are mixed with an alkali (typically potassium hydroxide) to produce a gentle, soapy lather.
